You are going to need to insulate the bolts in case they accidentally touch the edges of the neutral or positive plates. Depending you plate thickness and amount of plates, you'll need to test assemble the cell with gaskets to determine the proper length of 1/4" ID vinyl tubing you'll need. The length of tubing should be the same as the distance between the inside of the end plates. In this case, using 4 neutral plates, my distance was 5/8 of an inch. You'll need one of these for every bolt or 12 total. When it comes time to cut the gaskets, you can use the neutral plates as a guide for the outside of the gaskets. Leave approximately a 1/4" edge meaning you'll cut out a section in the center of around 5 1/2" X 5 1/2".
