The finished tube ready for washing and assembly. Note the threaded rod that will jut down and out through pre-drilled
holes in the cap for electrical connections. This was tack welded, slowly and carefully to avoid over heating and
warping the electrode. The plans called for a non-threaded rod to be used and soldered into place. I felt soldering had
a disadvantage in strength and corrosion resistance so welding these into place using stainless wire was the way to go.
Also by welding it in tacks little by little we avoided the heat that may have warped the shape of the tube. The
threaded stainless bolt had the advantage of making it easier to connect and disconnect electrical connections.
