After about 2 hours with 12 volts DC running through the electrodes this scum began to form at the top. After two hours
the assembly remained slightly warmer than room temperature which is good. The needle on the amp meter did not move
with power was connected to this was drawing a very low current. I added a few drops of NaOH (lye) solution (diluted
with distilled water therefore very weak) to improve conditioning. Prior to adding the small amount of NaOH there were
very few bubbles forming and conditioning would have been difficult taking days. After adding a few drops of NaOH the
