Here you see exactly how this will go into the conduit. I've already tapped into position inside the ID of the conduit the end piece that holds the
steel rod centered (previous picture) inside the conduit. I just have to make sure the copper sleeve doesn't slide off as I insert this inside the
conduit attempting to rope that hole drilled in the center of the end piece. This should be easy if I hold it upright. The end piece for the south
end (rounded end) is in place as shown in this picture. It did not go together very easily as it was trial and error to get the small center brass
rods into the end piece hole while it was down in the far end of the conduit. However, after several attempts it accidentally just fell into place.
Then I began to tap in the other end piece shown in the picture. As it slid down into the ID of the conduit I once again had to rope that other small
brass rod on the south/rounded end. Once that was accomplished all I needed to do is screw in the plumbing fittings left over from the previous pipe
and rod I originally used.
